ABOUT ME
I have been working with individuals, families, and couples for twenty five years. I love helping people make the changes they have been longing for. I am a systems thinker and use this to gain a broader perspective on the difficulties and challenges we are all facing. I do have a unique approach and this is very different from the way many therapists work. If you want to work with me I recommend that you read Roberta Gilbert's book, Extraordinary Relationships. It describes what we will be thinking and talking about in our work together. This work is not for everyone.
I am also certified in EMDR and use this as an adjunct to the work we are doing. EMDR can be very useful in calming down our nervous system and helping get past roadblocks.
I love working with individuals who are looking for ways to gain more perspective and maturity in order to live a more peaceful, purpose, driven life. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds; individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, panic attacks, estrangement from family and friends, illness, transitions as children arrive and as they leave home, loss of significant relationships through death, divorce, betrayal. Relationships are our most significant source of strength and stress and learning to navigate them with more perspective goes a long way to softening the challenges we face in our lives.
